I'd be willing to bet it does? What is it you ask? The CPSIA of 2008 is an act of Congress which was passed in November and goes into effect on February 10, 2009. This law will affect MILLIONS of people in the United States by requiring the test for lead and phthalates in ALL products intended for use by children under the age of 12. This includes all new, used, and handmade toys, clothes, furniture - EVERYTHING!! If your children wear clothes - you are affected as much as anyone else! Due to the broadness of this law in the way it is currently written, even thrift stores and charities will no longer be able to sell their goods for children without spending THOUSANDS of dollars on testing before they can sell the items. I have decided to go ahead and take off the rest of the year. I am slowly starting to feel better, but I am still not back to my old self. I'm still having some health problems. So I figured since the holidays are fast approaching I will just go ahead and take off until after the first of the year. My mom is having surgery next week as well so she is going to need some extra help.

I hope everyone and their families have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And may you all have safe holiday travels as well! And try not to get in to many fights early Friday morning trying to get in on all of those bargains during the Black Friday sales :)

Please bear with me as I deal with some personal health issues. I have not felt like getting out of bed the last couple of weeks due to some problems that I am having. Hopefully the doctor will have me feeling like new again soon. But my health and my family are the most important thing to me so I'm going to be taking some time to try and recuperate and get all of this worked out. If there is a day that I feel like blogging, I certainly will do it. I miss browsing all of the awesome creations that you guys make!

Just wanted to let everyone know why there wasn't any features done for yesterday. A very dear friend of mine lost her mother and her daughter in an automobile accident on Sunday morning. My friend had been carried to the hospital because she was having chest pains. Her mother and daughter were on the way to the hospital when a drunk driver crossed the center line, hit them head on, and killed both of them. If you all wouldn't mind saying a prayer for the family, I would greatly appreciate it!

I'm fictn' to start working on getting features up for today. I will do extras though to make up for not doing them yesterday. So be watching back later this evening or tonight for the newly featured items!

As Gustav makes its' way inland, I hope everyone stays safe and doesn't get hit by any of the bad thunderstorms and tornadoes! I live in Arkansas and it has made it way all the way up here. There are tornado warnings everywhere in the surrounding areas. It is suppose to get bad here tonight :( We are also suppose to be getting anywhere from 10 - 20 inches of rain over the next day or so. Hope no one has any flooding from all the rains either!
